Affiliated Monitoring•Houston, TX

About The Position

Affiliated Monitoring is hiring a hands-on Lead Facilities Technician to serve as the primary on-site facilities contact for its 20,000-square-foot emergency call center in Houston. The technician will perform routine repairs, maintain preventive maintenance programs, coordinate qualified vendors, and communicate with the Head of Facilities in New Jersey. The position may grow into broader facilities supervision as the site and responsibilities develop. The role reports directly to the Head of Facilities in New Jersey, who provides priorities, technical support, vendor and budget approvals, and escalation guidance. Approved local contractors perform licensed, regulated, and specialized work. A designated local contact and vendor coverage plan support access and emergencies when the technician is unavailable. The technician provides regular site updates, photographs when useful, and early notice of cost, schedule, safety, or service risks. The role includes after-hours response for critical building issues under a defined escalation and backup plan. Response expectations, frequency, time-off coverage, and applicable compensation will be confirmed before hire. Emergencies requiring licensed or specialized work are escalated to the appropriate service provider.
