The Lead EPMS Field Technician will be well versed in electrical power monitoring (EPMS) and building automation systems, work with and direct sub-contractors and inform both internal and external clients on project progress. Provides technical support and leadership to plan, schedule and execute project start up, installation and testing, commissioning and closeout of EPMS and building automation systems integration projects in mission critical / data center, industrial and commercial sectors. This role is weighted toward EPMS delivery. The successful candidate will be proficient in power monitoring system installation, metering and gateway configuration, Modbus troubleshooting and point-to-point testing, while remaining fully capable across BAS / HVAC controls installation and startup. The Lead will work with design engineers, construction contractors, switchgear and equipment vendors, commissioning agents and client staff to ensure proper operation and acceptance of the monitoring, automation and software solutions. The Lead EPMS Field Technician will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. Will assist project leadership on automation projects of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision. This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
