Lead Engineer - Thermal-Hydraulic Methods Development

GE Vernova•Wilmington, NC
•$98,400 - $188,600•Remote

About The Position

This role contributes to company objectives in reactor physics and technology and is intended to develop into a subject matter expert in computational methods development and coding, numerical analysis, and thermal-hydraulics for reactor modeling tools. The role supports software documentation and validation, user training, and customer interfacing for the GVH thermal-hydraulics code TRACG. The position is part of the Thermal-Hydraulic Methods (THM) team, which develops, maintains, analyzes, provides technical consultation for, and stewards the licensing of engineering codes, correlations, and methodologies for Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs) and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). The team also supports customers with emergent questions in reactor neutronics, thermal-hydraulics, and instrumentation physics, and contributes to the nuclear and thermal-hydraulic design of new fuel products. The preferred locations are GVH Nuclear headquarters in Wilmington, North Carolina, with hybrid arrangements available, or the Atlanta, Georgia hub. The posting also identifies the position as remote. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, and any applicable offer depends on obtaining government authorization. Relocation assistance is provided.
