  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 12+ yrs. Of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • ALM/PLM Proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
  • Strong understanding, development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment, dSpace control desk and automation desk
  • Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering, result/solution oriented.

  • Knowledge of Automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Strong system-level thinking, technical arbitration capability
  • Structured problem solving
  • Program milestone ownership, ability to operate in high-pressure launch environments

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of secondary ECU software releases from source code to vehicle deployment.
  • Coordinate multi-ECU release synchronization across body, energy, drive support, infotainment, connectivity, and gateway domains.
  • Define ECU release baselines, versioning strategy, and software configuration management across SDV platforms.
  • Ensure alignment between ECU software versions, calibration sets, vehicle configurations, and system-level dependencies.
  • Own ECU build pipelines and binary generation workflows for embedded software systems.
  • Ensure deterministic, reproducible builds across ECU variants, hardware revisions, and vehicle programs.
  • Manage generation of ECU firmware binaries, bootloaders and application images, calibration datasets and parameter files, variant configuration artifacts, diagnostic and service packages
  • Own artifact lifecycle management including storage, versioning, access control, and retention policies.
  • Maintain full traceability across: Source Code → Build → Binary → Calibration Set → Flash Package → Vehicle Deployment
  • Manage artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory, Nexus, cloud-native storage systems).
  • Enforce artifact integrity through hashing and checksum validation, digital signing and encryption, provenance and lineage tracking
  • Validate calibration datasets against software version compatibility, ECU hardware variants, vehicle configurations
  • Build automated release gates for Drive, Energy, Body, IID, ADAS systems ensuring software quality before deployment into production builds.
  • Validate compatibility between vehicle software versions, manufacturing tooling, diagnostics, and plant infrastructure.
