About The Position

ECU Nurse Manager Lead with purpose, care with heart, and make an impact where it matters most. Haxtun Health is seeking a skilled ECU Nurse Manager to guide our Extended Care Unit and help deliver outstanding care to our patients and residents every day. The ECU Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational oversight of the Extended Care Unit (ECU). This position supports the delivery of safe, compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, staff development, and efficient department operations. The ECU Nurse Manager provides leadership and support to ECU nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), develops and maintains staffing schedules, supports patient care coordination, and may provide direct patient care as needed. The ECU Nurse Manager participates in the nursing administration on-call rotation and may provide leadership support, clinical consultation, and direct patient care within the Extended Care Unit (ECU), Acute Care Unit (ACU), Emergency Department (ED), or other patient care areas as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership, charge nurse, supervisory, or staff coordination experience
  • Current or ability to obtain within established timeframes: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current or ability to obtain within established timeframes: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Current or ability to obtain within established timeframes: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Current or ability to obtain within established timeframes: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in extended care, acute care, emergency nursing, or nursing leadership

Responsibilities
