About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to own CI/CD, Build Artifacts & Binary Release Engineering for Secondary ECUs to design, implement, and operate end-to-end software build and release systems for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architectures. This role focuses on binary generation, artifact management, build reproducibility, and CI/CD validation pipelines for distributed secondary ECUs across automotive domains such as body, energy, drive support systems, infotainment, connectivity, and gateways. You will own the integrity, traceability, and automation of ECU software delivery—from source code to signed production-ready binaries—across lab-car, HIL/SIL, integration vehicles, and production environments. This role will Q-gate, release secondary ECU artefacts per HPC compute and platform requirements directly shaping the reliability, scalability, and performance of the entire vehicle platform. Role is the backbone of software delivery for vehicle platforms ensuring ECU SW packages are reliably built, traceable, configurable, and deployable at scale enabling faster iteration, safer releases, and seamless integration across complex EV systems. Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ yrs. of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • ALM/PLM proficiency in Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
  • Strong understanding, development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environment, dSpace control desk and automation desk
  • Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering, result/solution oriented.
  • Familiarity with SW for embedded systems, EE systems and architecture
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools, such as CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.
  • Expertise with complex problem solving, data analysis, access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
  • Knowledge of Automotive design and development process, system requirements, and general engineering best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable build systems for secondary ECU software, ensuring deterministic and reproducible binary outputs.
  • Own end-to-end binary generation pipelines, including compilation, linking, packaging, and versioning for embedded ECUs.
  • Manage build configurations across multiple ECU variants, hardware revisions, and vehicle programs.
  • Ensure correct generation of firmware images, bootloaders, application binaries, calibration files, and configuration artifacts.
  • Optimize build performance, parallelization, caching strategies, and distributed build execution.
  • Own artifact lifecycle management including storage, versioning, traceability, and retention policies.
  • Manage software artifacts such as ECU firmware binaries, signed release packages, calibration datasets, configuration manifests, dependency graphs etc.
  • Implement strict traceability between source code → build → artifact → vehicle release.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Implement pipelines for cross-compilation of embedded software, static analysis and validation checks with automated test execution (unit, integration, HIL where applicable)
  • Enable reproducible builds with traceability from commit → artifact → vehicle
  • Ensure secure and reliable delivery of artifacts to integration, vehicle builds, OTA systems and manufacturing pipelines
  • Develop tooling to generate custom ECU builds (feature flags, configuration variants, debug/release modes) and vehicle-level software packages (multi-ECU bundles) for on-demand builds for specific test or vehicle configurations
  • Coordinate release schedules and resolve integration issues

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision and income protection plans
  • 401(k) program with an employer match and immediate vesting
  • 20 days planned PTO, as accrued
  • 40 hours of unplanned PTO
  • 14 company or floating holidays, annually
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave for biological and adoptive parents of all genders
  • Paid leave for circumstances related to bereavement, jury duty, voting time, or military leave
