About The Position

The Lead Electronics Technician is an integral part of our production team; they are responsible for manufacturing and assembly of electronic components by the engineering and production documentation, ensuring that all work and components meet rigorous quality standards. The Lead Electronics Technician is essential in supporting the Electronics Supervisor with training and executing the production plan. A successful Lead Electronics Technician has keen attention to detail and supports others in the shop and throughout the company, both technically and as teammates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience in electronics, assembly, manufacturing, engineering environment, or similar experience
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, drawings, procedures, etc.
  • Computer (Windows PC) competency in word processing and spreadsheets
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to solve technical problems
  • Able to work together on a team
  • The ability to follow verbal and written procedures, good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and listen to others
  • Safety and quality minded

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve shop safety requirements and other relevant policies
  • Manufacturing and assembly of Electronics part or components
  • Perform functional and mechanical check outs as necessary
  • Complete production documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Provide training, onboarding, technical oversight, and guidance to other team members
  • Provide team feedback to Supervisor to ensure smooth operations and optimal team utilization
  • Support reporting on production status and communicating obstacles with production management
  • Support Engineering and Test development as needed
  • Support improvement of processes and procedures
  • Communicate, discuss, and listen to challenges with management, teammates, etc.
  • Support problem solving activities for technical issues
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned
