Electronics Technician II

About The Position

The Electronics Technician will be responsible for supporting Aircraft mission systems integration, wiring of electrical components and fabrication of various electronic enclosures.

Requirements

  • Detail oriented and capable with working in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and devise solutions
  • Demonstrated proficiency at interpreting diagrams and schematics
  • Written communication skills to keep accurate, easy-to-understand reports
  • Ability to operate tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, precision screwdrivers, rotary tools and 3D printers, and to distinguish between various colors of wiring
  • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, drawings and schematics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep familiarity with circuitry, wiring and splicing
  • Associates degree in Engineering or applicable technical field required
  • 3+ years of previous work experience
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform electrical engineering research, design development and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications.
  • Electrical Engineering support: Cable building, wire stripping and crimping, soldering, installation of avionics equipment
  • Utilize electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Analyze data and production reports
  • Machining and tooling: Operate CNC machine and other fabrication machines
  • Work with hand tools and power tools
  • Maintenance and upkeep of machines and tools
  • Maintaining work area for daily operations and cleanliness
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
