Step into a day where uptime depends on your expertise As our Lead Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician, you begin by reviewing CMMS data, trending chronic faults, and planning proactive work. Minutes later, you’re deep in a PLC program isolating an intermittent I/O issue; by midday, you’re running vibration analysis and infrared thermography to validate a corrective plan; by afternoon, you’re mentoring a junior tech through a precision alignment, then closing the loop with documentation and a cost-savings summary from a recent CI initiative.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree with a technical focus plus 7 years of related industry experience; or 10 years of related industry experience.
  • Proficiency with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations), precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
  • Broad understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; able to analyze problems, develop alternatives, and execute repairs.
  • Comfort using hand and specialized tools appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues; independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance to industry standards.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and analyze sophisticated control systems (e.g., PLCs, drives, servo/motion) to resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems.
  • Apply predictive technologies—infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, power quality analysis, laser interferometry, ball bar, and vibration analysis—to assess equipment health and drive proactive maintenance.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts, using CI tools to deliver process enhancements, measurable results, and cost reductions.
  • Identify, source, and propose parts and repair items; recommend alternative components and engineered solutions to increase reliability.
  • Set up and operate machining equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools) to fabricate or repair parts; perform welding as needed.
  • Research new methods, tools, and system innovations; propose adoption at our facilities and update technical documentation.
  • Prepare inputs for cost analyses covering new equipment, repair/rebuild proposals, savings, and innovation projects.
  • Maintain and analyze CMMS records, ensuring accurate histories and data-driven decisions.
  • Provide technical content for sales quotations and perform T&M duties as required.
  • Coach and train less experienced technicians; take on project management responsibilities when assigned.
  • Commit to safety—follow all policies and technical instructions with strong situational awareness, identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Uphold 5S and housekeeping standards consistently.
