Lead Electrician with 5 Points Electrical
About The Position
5 Points Electrical is seeking a Lead Electrician to install commercial electrical systems and lead a team of approximately 2–3 electricians and apprentices. The role is responsible for maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating work to keep projects on schedule, and communicating with the Superintendent about goals, assignments, and progress. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as an Electrical Foreman on commercial projects.
- 4 years of electrical experience; commercial experience is preferred.
- Basic low-voltage experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Knowledge of construction safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret plans.
- Strong safety consciousness.
- Valid driver's license.

- Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Skill in reading and interpreting plans and diagrams.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Experience as a superintendent or foreman.
- Knowledge of prefabrication techniques and methods.
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards.
- Journeyman's License.
- Master Electrician's License.
- Certification in Scissors Lift, Boom Lift, and Telehandler operation.
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and lighting control systems.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Fieldwire, Rexit, Conest, AutoCAD, or BIM software.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial electrical systems while leading electricians and apprentices.
- Communicate with the Superintendent about daily goals and assignments.
- Ensure materials are available and organized.
- Maintain workmanship standards in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
- Provide the Superintendent with regular updates on task status.
- Lead the team effectively to keep projects on schedule.
- Use technology to improve communication and efficiency.
- Ensure personal and team use of tools complies with safety regulations.
- Read and interpret conduit drawings, blueprints, plans, and diagrams and install systems accordingly.
- Represent 5 Points Electrical professionally.
- Monitor team efficiency and implement suggestions to improve job productivity.
- Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and promptly.
