Electrician with 5 Points Electrical
About The Position
5 Points Electrical is a growing electrical contractor serving the Atlanta area. The Journeyman Electrician installs commercial electrical systems while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The role also leads and supervises a team of two to three electricians and apprentices, helping the team meet project goals and schedules. Work is in the Metro Atlanta area and may take place indoors or outdoors depending on the project site. The position reports to Project Managers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of electrical experience; commercial experience is preferred.
- Basic experience with low-voltage systems.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Knowledge of construction safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and diagrams.
- Strong safety consciousness.
- Valid driver's license.
- The posting also lists a minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrical Foreman on commercial projects.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Skill in reading and interpreting plans and diagrams.
- Proven strong leadership skills.
- Experience as a Superintendent or Foreman.
- Knowledge of prefabrication techniques.
- OSHA 10 and 30 certifications.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards.
- Journeyman's License and Master Electrician's License.
- Certification in Scissors Lift, Boom Lift, and Telehandler.
- Knowledge of low-voltage, fire alarm, and lighting control systems.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Fieldwire, Rexit, Conest, AutoCAD, or BIM software.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial electrical systems while leading a team of electricians and apprentices.
- Communicate daily goals and assignments with the superintendent.
- Ensure required materials are available and organized.
- Maintain high workmanship standards and comply with OSHA and company regulations.
- Provide the superintendent with updates on task progress.
- Lead and manage electricians and apprentices to meet project schedules.
- Use technology to improve communication and efficiency.
- Ensure that personal and team use of work tools complies with safety regulations.
- Interpret conduit drawings and blueprints and install accordingly.
- Represent 5 Points Electrical professionally.
- Improve team efficiency and implement suggestions that increase productivity.
- Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and efficiently.
