About The Position

Core Natural Resources is seeking an experienced Certified Electrician to provide electrical and mechanical expertise in support of underground mining operations. The position maintains, troubleshoots, and improves electrical, mechanical, communication, conveyor, and power distribution systems while supporting preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives. The successful candidate is a certified Experienced Miner and Electrician who demonstrates commitment to safety, teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The Electrician provides expertise to improve mine maintenance operations, including assisting electrical or maintenance supervisors with installation and maintenance of conveyor belt drives, tracking and communication systems, power distribution systems, and troubleshooting. Work may involve programmable logic controllers, graphics/MMI, introduction, vibration and temperature monitoring, and implementation of new technologies. The position supports preventative and predictive maintenance programs and continuous improvement.

Maintenance covers equipment and systems including miners, shuttle cars, feeder breakers, roof bolters, scoops, diesel equipment, water and dewatering pump systems, belt drives, conveyor systems, ventilation fans, hoists and escape capsules, electrical and power distribution systems, communications and safety monitoring systems, and process control.

Requirements

• Must be a certified Experienced Miner.
• Must be a Certified Electrician in good standing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or state-certified GED required.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as the schedule requires, subject to the applicant’s religious practices.
• Must be able to work other shifts as needed, subject to the applicant’s religious practices.
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Must be detail-oriented and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be able to perform heavy physical work, including lifting, carrying, pulling/pushing, climbing, shoveling, walking, prying, and working on or near moving equipment, as well as other activities required by the job assignment.
