About The Position

On Noblis’ energy and sustainability team, we are dedicated to addressing our planet’s biggest energy challenges. We are seeking a professional who will be a member of our team supporting Federal government partners, including the Office of the Secretary of War. Our team conducts analyses that inform the development of policy and provides subject matter expertise in support of operational energy initiatives across the Department of War. As a Nuclear Energy Program Specialist on our team, you will support a number of efforts, including campaign modeling analysis, assessment of current and future operational concepts, statistical analysis, and assist clients with decision-making efforts. You will engage in other initiatives as well, such as policy analysis and coordination with Components across DoW.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering, energy policy, or other relevant fields
  • 5+ years of Department of War/Military Service/Joint Staff experience (for Mid Level)
  • 8+ years of Department of War/Military Service/Joint Staff experience (for Senior Level)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in nuclear engineering, energy policy, or other relevant fields
  • 15+ years of overall experience preferred
  • Knowledge of DoW Programming and Budget cycle
  • Experience with DoW installation or operational energy offices
  • Experience on projects with the United States Federal Government, including grant programs
  • Strong data analysis skills in Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and/or R

Responsibilities

  • Program management and analysis support to develop strategy and policy for nuclear energy use across the DoW.
  • Support nuclear energy initiatives, including planning, technology review, and techno-economic analysis.
  • Provide programming and budgetary support to clients in evaluating available resources.
  • Provide clients with professional work products to inform policy and budgeting requests, inform Congress of ongoing activities, and partner organization capabilities and requirements.
  • Support development of literacy and workforce training resources to advance nuclear energy initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholder across the United States Government, providing technical advisory on nuclear power application in Defense contexts.
  • Provide support for initiatives that automate and improve data collection efforts.
  • Provide strategic communications support to senior leaders on ongoing and future nuclear energy initiatives.
