About The Position

Under the general direction of the Logistics Manager, this employee is responsible for overseeing the Central Dispatch After-hours Analyst and daily after-hours processes. This role works closely with branch leadership teams to meet branch KPIs and financial objectives, acting as a bridge between the local branch management team and the central dispatch department. The primary goal is to drive timely completion of daily routing/dispatching duties and responsibilities within the Logistics Department.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and one year related experience and/or training, OR two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiarity with TIMS
  • Knowledge of MobileCast & Roadnet software system
  • Understanding of Logistics, DOT, ACHC, and local state labor laws

Responsibilities

  • Performing all MobileCast dispatching activities
  • Routing all same day/next day deliveries according to Logistics policy and procedures
  • Communicating to the branches regarding errors in addresses, time frames, and any other work order issues that negatively impact the routing of a delivery
  • Updating TIMS with customer notes and updating work order ship dates as necessary
  • Communicating to the branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the field
  • Monitoring a driver's progress during the day, and communicating back to the branch level any issues related to impacting missed time windows
  • Monitoring delivery staffing requirements based upon order volumes and making appropriate adjustments to staff and/or process as appropriate
  • Reviewing Reports at the Central Dispatch level to monitor driver compliance of route order completed via the MobileCast & Roadnet software system
  • Coordinating with Region management on all action plans that would ensure driver compliance with targeted financial objectives
  • Complying with and adhering to all regulatory compliance areas, policies, procedures, and "best practices" according to Logistics, DOT, ACHC, and local state labor laws
  • Ensuring patients do not suffer service failures and communicating with the servicing branch of undeliverable stops
  • Demonstrating professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with customers and branches regarding issues that impact the ability of the Dispatcher to effectively route a work order to a driver in the field
  • Responding to telephone, fax, and e-mail questions/problems from branches
  • Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
