Lead Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is hiring a full-time Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) for its program in Antioch, California. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including community, family or individual homes, generic community settings, and Adult Training Facilities. The LDSP provides direct care and implements behavior plans, helping enhance each individual's health, safety, dignity, and contentment through assistance and training in personal care, communication, and social skill development. Pay is $28–$30 per hour, increasing by $2 per hour after earning Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. The position requires completion of DSP 1 and DSP 2 certifications within one year of hire and RBT certification within 60 days of hire.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have at least one year of paid, verifiable experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.
- Must complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 certifications within one year of hire.
- Must complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 60 days of hire.
