About The Position

We are seeking a Lead Developer focused on pipeline products and data systems. This role requires a multi-functional engineer who enjoys building software across various tech stacks. Responsibilities may include developing a data warehouse with an AI-enabled interface or automating repeatable development processes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of systems architecture, a passion for creating tools to solve high-level bottlenecks, and the ability to lead engineers and collaborate with leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience across domains: data systems, dev tools, AI integrations, pipeline automation, custom apps, game engines, DevOps/DevEx, or web tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, and C++.
  • Experience building and maintaining distributed systems, web frameworks, or CI CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming and modern architectural design patterns.
  • Ability to manage large and diverse codebases with multiple branches and stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to navigate a fast paced environment and align with studio partners.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with web technologies like React, Django, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud service providers like AWS or Azure.
  • Hands on experience with game engines such as Unreal or Unity.
  • Background in building automated testing frameworks or data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers to develop products and tools across a breadth of domains, including game engine, pipeline, DCC, and web tools.
  • Partner with Directors and Product Managers to estimate and solve complex pipeline inefficiencies with innovative, often AI-enabled solutions.
  • Collaborate with studio partners to assess technical requirements for build systems and deployment tools.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and the technical breakdown of complex initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve existing pipeline software while ensuring high quality documentation and support.
  • Establish and enforce code review standards and professional development initiatives for your team.
