About The Position

We seek an experienced Lead Developer to spearhead the implementation and management of our new BMC Helix Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining our CMDB, ensuring seamless integration within project timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated project team, including a project manager, two configuration managers, and our managed service provider.

Requirements

• Proven experience with BMC Helix tools, including Atrium Integrator and TrueSight Orchestrator, with a deep understanding of the CMDB common data model and class management.
• Strong experience with web services (REST, SOAP, JSON, LDAP) and system interfaces, with expertise in data migration.
• Experienced in working with agile methodologies using Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to solve complex problems by thoroughly understanding business requirements and delivering well-tested solutions.
• Experienced with QA, UAT testing, and release management processes for deployment to production.
• Familiarity with IT service management functions and processes, with ITIL v3 or above certifications being a plus.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, and other office productivity platforms.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, and manage software programs focusing on BMC Helix CMDB.
• Work closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and systems analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Lead the development efforts for the CMDB, guiding the project team to ensure all milestones, timelines, and budgetary requirements are met.
• Provide clear documentation of development processes and guide users to establish requirements based on best practices.
• Report daily progress using our PPM tool and regularly update the project manager on sprints, stories, and overall project status.
