About The Position

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Lead Design & Application Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. The engineer will contribute to groundbreaking projects, leveraging expertise in Integrated Control Systems, SCADA Virtualization, Wellhead Automation, and Telecommunication to drive operational excellence and innovation. INTECH specializes in delivering vendor-neutral, customized control, safety, and automation systems. Their solutions include virtualizing SCADA systems for satellite sites, pipeline networks, and digital oilfields, as well as optimizing wellhead and upstream/downstream automation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Electrical, Electronics or Control System Engineering
  • 8–10 years of experience
  • Good understanding of industrial standards, instrumentation, and system functionality.
  • Ability to interpret FRS, P&IDs, C&E diagrams, and other technical documents.
  • Experience in FAT, testing, commissioning, along with strong MS Office and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement hardware for specialized control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Fire & Gas Systems (FGS), with a focus on DeltaV DCS, SIS & HIMA Systems.
  • Ensure adherence to major industrial standards and apply a conceptual understanding of these standards throughout project phases.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of major instrumentation used in the industry, including clarity on working principles and system functionality.
  • Analyze and interpret customer specifications, including Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effect Diagrams (C&Es), drawings, narratives, and philosophies to gather necessary project information.
  • Perform system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for control systems and site work, including commissioning and startup.
  • Hands-on Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and discuss technical information.
