About The Position

The Lead Deployment Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and professional deployment process for a project involving 2.5k devices. This is a 16-week engagement with the possibility of long-term extension. The team will consist of 1 Lead and 2-4 Deployment Technicians. The Lead is responsible for day-to-day reporting on project progress and any arising issues, acting as the crew lead for 2-3 deployment technicians, and essentially serving as the operations manager for the team. The role involves deploying thin clients, monitors, and laptops through "hot swap" procedures, ensuring all connections are correct, and working directly with end-users to transfer files and connect printers. Experience working in a hospital environment is a significant plus, and candidates must demonstrate professional standards. A requirement for this role is living in Yuma and having reliable transportation, with a willingness to commit to a 2-hour round trip commute.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day reporting on project progress and any arising issues.
  • Act as the "cruise director" for a team of 2-3 Deployment Technicians, overseeing their daily activities and ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Manage and resolve issues promptly as they arise during deployment.
  • Delegate tasks to the deployment team and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Participate in a pilot program to work with the Project Manager, develop documentation, learn processes, and understand scope of work.
  • Oversee the deployment of thin clients, monitors, and laptops.
  • Ensure professional interaction with end-users, including doctors, assisting with file transfers and printer connections.
  • Perform "search and destroy" hot swaps.
  • Ensure proper connections are made.
  • Transfer user files.
  • Connect devices to printers.
