About The Position

As a Lead CX/UX Designer, you'll work as a full-stack UX designer, independently owning research and design for a complex product area or initiative. You'll conduct your own research, define the problems worth solving, and develop solutions that improve how tax and accounting professionals get their work done. You'll stay hands-on across discovery, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and implementation. Working with Product and Engineering, you'll use evidence to shape priorities and measure results. You'll also mentor UX colleagues and help teams apply AI and code-based tools with sound judgment. This is a hybrid role, requiring eight days a month in the closest office (USA) within 50 miles to experience the value of connecting with colleagues.

Requirements

  • End-to-end UX expertise: Experience independently leading research and design for complex products, with a portfolio that connects problem framing and design decisions to measurable outcomes.
  • Independent user research: Strong skills in planning and conducting interviews, workflow observation, and usability studies. Ability to select appropriate methods, synthesize findings, and recognize the limits of the evidence.
  • Interaction and visual design: Deep expertise in information architecture, complex workflows, and detailed interface design.
  • Prototyping and AI tools: Experience building realistic interactive prototypes using UX, AI, and code-based tools, with the judgment to choose the right approach and verify the results.
  • Product direction: Ability to turn ambiguous needs into a clear problem definition and use evidence to influence priorities with Product and Engineering.
  • Design systems and accessibility: Experience evolving reusable patterns across related workflows and ensuring solutions meet accessibility standards.
  • Influence and mentorship: Ability to align stakeholders around decisions, resolve tradeoffs, and coach designers in research and design practice.
  • Outcome measurement: Experience defining success measures and using research and product data to evaluate results after release.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
