About The Position
Guthrie's Ace Handyman Services is hiring a Lead Craftsman in Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $30–$35 per hour, working Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The company emphasizes craftsmanship, customer service, and career growth for its employees. The Lead Craftsman will oversee projects from start to finish, mentor team members, ensure quality standards, and provide an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include leading residential repair and remodeling projects, troubleshooting on-site challenges, and performing various handyman services such as carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tile installation, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, and flooring repairs/installation. Professional communication with homeowners, property managers, suppliers, and team members is essential, along with ensuring safety and efficiency on all projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Master Craftsman or Lead Craftsman
- Strong knowledge across multiple trades including: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Tile, Flooring
- Own truck or van
- Own professional tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor others
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee residential repair and remodeling projects
- Mentor and support fellow craftsmen on the job
- Troubleshoot and solve on-site challenges efficiently
- Complete a variety of handyman services, including: Carpentry, Drywall repair, Interior and exterior painting, Tile installation and repair, Basic plumbing, Basic electrical work, Flooring repairs and installation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, suppliers, and team members
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional craftsmanship
