Lead Safety Manager - New Albany, OH
About The Position
The Lead Construction Safety Manager will provide hands-on, field-focused safety oversight for an approximately one-year facility upgrade project at the Amgen facility in New Albany, Ohio. The project includes compressed air and lab upgrades within an active facility. The role works with the general contractor (GC) and subcontractors to support construction safety requirements and ensure subcontractor compliance. Key activities include monitoring Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), conducting site safety inspections and safety meetings, and reviewing and supporting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). The position is listed as a 1099 contractor role, with an ASAP start. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for 40–50 hours per week. Compensation is $57 per hour for travel candidates or $60 per hour for local candidates, plus $125 per day in per diem, with weekly pay.
Requirements
- Safety Lead experience working with a general contractor and overseeing subcontractors.
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510.
- Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and construction safety.
- Working knowledge of subcontractor safety compliance, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), site safety inspections, safety meetings, and GC and subcontractor safety oversight.
