The Lead CNC Programmer will contribute to the CAD/CAM team’s factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. The role designs and optimizes CNC programs for complex multi-axis machining of high-temperature superalloys, and uses digital-twin simulation to validate code and toolpaths before production. The position supports large-format VTLs, VMBs, 5-axis mills, and multi-purpose turn/grind machines up to 2.5 meters, as well as milling, turning, grinding, and EDM operations. The programmer develops adaptive probing, macro-programming, and closed-loop machining processes; partners with Manufacturing Engineers and shop-floor teams to commission new machine tools and establish machining standards; and provides technical support, troubleshooting, first-piece prove-outs, and operator training. The role also supports tooling, fixturing, workstation instructions, and process improvement projects focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery. The role uses Siemens NX and other CAM software, Vericut and Siemens Run My Virtual Machine, and advanced machining diagnostics and automation tools. GE Vernova describes a professional work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Relocation assistance is provided. The U.S.-based pay range is $81,700–$136,700, with geographic differentials in certain areas and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
