About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with a strong background in injection mold building to join a precision manufacturing team. The role involves programming CNC machines to fabricate components used in injection mold tooling. It requires knowledge of machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and electrode design principles.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in CNC programming, preferably in a mold-making environment.
• Proficiency with MasterCam software.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials used in mold construction.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and interpreting 3D models.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize urgent jobs that affect downstream operations while balancing overall shop efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Mazatrol.
• Experience designing electrodes for use with Sinker EDMs.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC tool paths for mills, lathes, and/or EDM machines to produce components for injection mold tooling.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications to fabricate precision tooling.
• Optimize machining strategies for efficiency, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
• Set up and prove out CNC programs on the shop floor, adjusting them as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve mold designs and manufacturability.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols.
