This position is for 2nd shift. As a member of the CAD/CAM team, you will be an active contributor to the factory volume ramp and standardization efforts. The role involves programming, process development, and shop support for large VTLs, VBMs, head-head Gantry 5-axis machines, and multi-purpose turn/grind machines. You will generate and maintain CNC programs using NX-CAM or similar software, including multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. Verification of new CNC programs using Vericut is required prior to shop floor release. The position also includes incorporating on-machine probing for part and process validation, creating programs according to standards, and providing CNC-related support to Manufacturing Engineers. Training operators during new machine startups and process improvements is also a key responsibility. Daily support to the shop floor in the form of CNC programming and troubleshooting is expected, along with supporting tooling and fixturing requirements and generating workstation instructions. The role also involves initiating and leading process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery, and requires effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
