The Lead CNC Programmer provides programming support for the factory across components, processes, and machines. The role develops and maintains CNC programs, verifies programs before shop-floor release, and provides day-to-day programming and troubleshooting support to operators and Manufacturing Engineering. It also supports tooling, fixturing, workstation instructions, machine start-ups, process improvements, and the adoption and expansion of CNC/CAM technology. The position develops, tests, and optimizes CNC programs for a Hoffmann RASMX 8-axis broaching machine using SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE controls, and maintains programs for existing horizontal legacy broaches, primarily using FANUC controls and complex macro variables. The Lead CNC Programmer trains operators and other programmers, leads process-improvement projects, and works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. The required background is a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or machinist apprenticeship (or similar) with three years of graphical-CAM-system CNC programming experience, or a high school degree with six years of that experience. The posting also notes that the role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; where applicable, offers depend on obtaining U.S. Government authorization. Relocation assistance is provided. The posted U.S. pay range is $81,700–$136,700, with geographic differentials in certain areas, and discretionary annual bonus eligibility.
