MCO Lead Cashier
About The Position
The Lead Cashier is accountable for cash and electronic transactions. They oversee all cashiers to ensure work is completed appropriately, accept accountability for cash transactions, and assure all transactions are accounted for correctly. This role involves training new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems, counting down cash drawers with the previous shift lead, and checking in with cashiers hourly for drops and change needs. The Lead Cashier also provides customer service, prepares for the next shift, conducts money audits, checks supplies, and verifies that cashiers have the necessary paperwork. A key aspect of this role is ensuring quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of experience required

Responsibilities
- Oversee all cashiers to make sure work is completed appropriately
- Accept accountability for cash transactions
- Assure all transactions are accounted for correctly
- Train new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Count down cash drawer with previous shift lead present to ensure accurate counts and reporting
- Check in with cashiers, no less than once an hour, for drops and change needs
- Provide customer service and information to patrons and prep for next shift. Including money audits, supply checks, verifying the cashier has all needed paperwork to complete their duties
- Ensure quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment
