About The Position

This opportunity is designed for individuals actively pursuing their BCBA certification and accruing practicum hours. The Lead Case Supervisor role aims to prepare individuals for success as a BCBA upon completion of their hours and passing the exam. This role is part of the new Apex Program, which enhances development and support for practicum students, fostering community among peers across centers. The position is intended for individuals within 6-9 months of their BCBA exam eligibility.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA.
  • Must be within approximately 400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam.
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy.
  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases, providing 20 paid unrestricted hours per week, with potential for more as testing approaches.
  • Update client goals and programming using an electronic data collection platform.
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs.
  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings to enhance clinical skills.
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT).
  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and provide support using Soar’s in-house curriculum.
  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments, including training on specific assessment tools.
  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists.
  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), based on center needs and program progress.
