About The Position

This opportunity is designed for individuals actively pursuing their BCBA certification and accruing practicum hours. The Lead Case Supervisor role aims to prepare individuals for success as a BCBA upon completion of their hours and passing the exam. This role is part of the new Apex Program, which offers enhanced programming and community building for practicum students. The position is intended for individuals within 6-9 months of their BCBA exam eligibility. The role reports to the Local Clinical Trainer (BCBA) at the specific clinic.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA.
  • Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam.
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as a behavior therapist.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning.
  • Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy.
  • Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a case supervisor for 3-5 client cases, learning and practicing key skills to become a high-quality BCBA.
  • Update client goals and programming, utilizing the electronic data collection platform.
  • Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs.
  • Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing clinical skillset.
  • Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT).
  • Meet with families to conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum.
  • Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments for established clients, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist.
  • Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in the clinic.
  • Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings for collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists.
  • Conduct direct client therapy (10-20 hours/week), set based on center needs and program progress.
