Requirements

You know remodeling. You understand that working in an existing home takes a different kind of planning and problem solving than new construction.
You take pride in craftsmanship and notice the details other people might miss.
You can lead a job site. You're comfortable coordinating trades, communicating expectations and keeping people moving in the same direction.
You communicate well. Homeowners, subcontractors and team members know what's happening because you keep them informed.
You're a problem solver. You proactively identify potential issues, bring forward solutions and work with the team to keep challenges from slowing the project down.
You take ownership. You don't need someone standing over your shoulder to make sure things get done.
You're also a team player. You know when to make the call and when to pull in the Project Director or another member of the team.
You follow through. If you say something is going to happen, people can count on you.

Nice To Haves

Five or more years of remodeling experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry.
Working knowledge of the different trades involved in residential remodeling.
Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and project documentation.
Strong client and subcontractor communication skills.
Comfortable learning and using technology such as Buildertrend.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the day-to-day job site and serve as Schloegel's on-site project lead.
Be the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction, keeping them informed and helping them feel confident in what's happening next.
Oversee the daily progress of the job while performing rough and finish carpentry as needed.
Manage project schedules and work closely with Project Directors to keep projects moving.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and in-house team members.
Stay ahead of project needs by reviewing plans, selections, change orders, materials and upcoming work.
Maintain Schloegel standards for craftsmanship, job site safety, cleanliness, security and protection of the client's home.
Hold subcontractors, vendors and in-house labor accountable to project expectations.
Use Buildertrend to keep project information, schedules, communication and documentation accurate and up to date.
