About The Position

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Lead of Business Process and Procedures for our manufacturing engineering team. This role will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across the organization, addressing challenges from high product complexity to high-volume automation. As the company grows, this role will be instrumental in building the manufacturing foundation to support expanding product lines and increasing production volumes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, design engineering, business process development, change management, project management, program management, or engineering transformation.
  • 8+ years of experience overall in relevant domains.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle (design/development/production), as well as the purpose of each phase and its associated importance for manufacturing readiness.
  • Strong business acumen together with knowledge of hardware engineering and manufacturing domains.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across all levels and disciplines (individual contributor to senior leadership, Program Management to Supply Chain to Design Engineering, etc.).
  • Proven ability to balance the criticality of detail-oriented, strategic thinking with the importance of being scrappy to move fast.
  • Process thinker with a business impact mindset.
  • Demonstrated desire to learn new things without fear of jumping in.
  • Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Test Execution Systems (TES).
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of business process engineers.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staffing.
  • Define, lead and manage manufacturing engineering and operations initiatives from ideation through targeted pilots and broad roll-out.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to deeply understand their pain points, needs, and the intricacies of their workflows.
  • Champion best practices across global manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Define and share what good looks like via lunch and learns, templates, etc.
  • Facilitate early engagement with cross-functional teams including product design, supply chain, business line, configuration management, quality, and EHS.
  • Own new business processes for manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering.
  • Balance standardization with adaptability for scalable, high-impact solutions and align manufacturing engineering milestones with integrated program schedule.
  • Identify areas of improvement on programs and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Provide guidance on feasibility and risk for new manufacturing projects.
