About The Position

This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience to solve complex problems by taking a new perspective using existing solutions. The Business Process Engineer works independently, receiving minimal guidance, and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This position represents a level at which a career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement. The engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes. They typically resolve complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist and often lead the work of project teams, potentially training junior staff. Key responsibilities include leading and/or participating in the implementation of business projects, initiatives, and priorities, working directly with cross-functional Business Teams and IT. The role involves developing and facilitating required data, documentation, KPIs, and processes, as well as creating roll-out training documentation. The Business Process Engineer works independently.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience developing current-state and future-state process maps, value stream maps, SIPOCs, and workflow designs using Visio or similar process modeling tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive alignment and build consensus across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive priorities forward with minimal direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable, and measurable process solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and or participate in project Implementation of business projects initiatives and priorities.
  • Working directly with cross functional Business Team & IT.
  • Develops/facilitates required data, documentation, KPIs and process and roll out training documentation.
  • Works independently

  • Often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff
  • Facilitating cross-functional workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements, analyze processes, identify gaps, and develop improvement recommendations.
  • Lead process transformation initiatives by partnering with business leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver operational efficiencies and improved business outcomes.
