Lead Business Data Analyst- f2f Interview
About The Position
This is a contract role for a Senior/Lead Business Analyst with strong financial markets experience. The position requires comfort working directly with large datasets and a strong understanding of equities, options, financial market data, market structure, and trading activity. The analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements from business users and translating them into actionable solutions. This is a hands-on role where the analyst will independently explore data to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities, and build prototypes and proof-of-concepts before engineering implementation. A "fail fast" mentality and comfort working in an iterative environment are expected. The role involves close collaboration with software engineers to validate, test, and productionize solutions, as well as supporting and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Requirements
- Strong SQL (must-have)
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Ability to reconcile and match datasets to validate expected outcomes
- Requirements gathering and business analysis experience
- UAT experience
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to work between business and engineering teams
- Strong financial markets experience
- Comfortable working directly with large datasets
- Strong understanding of Equities, Options, Financial market data, Market structure and trading activity
- Able to gather requirements from business users and translate them into actionable solutions
- Hands-on analyst who can explore data independently and identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities
- Experience building prototypes and proof-of-concepts before engineering implementation
- Comfortable working in an iterative environment ("fail fast" mentality)
- Partner closely with software engineers to validate, test, and productionize solutions
- Support and lead UAT efforts
