Lead Business Analyst, Capacity Planning - Supervision

Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to support the Supervision Group’s transformation of resource and skills planning from a reactive approach to a proactive, data-driven approach. The role partners closely with the Resource Management Group and Learning & Development teams. Its forecasting models, workforce analytics, and strategic insights will inform how Supervision develops an agile examiner workforce. The position develops and maintains capacity plans and forecasting models, conducts scenario planning and skills-gap analysis, and turns complex data into recommendations about staffing, resource allocation, training, and strategic initiatives. The position is based in San Francisco and requires access to confidential supervisory information, so candidates must meet the described Protected Individual criteria. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% is required. Final offers are subject to an enhanced background check.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels of leadership.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, sound judgment in moderately to moderately high-complexity decisions, and the ability to determine next steps when information is unavailable or ambiguous.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and programs across multiple stakeholder groups and driving District- or System-wide initiatives from inception to execution.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel; visualization software such as Tableau; and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python to manipulate data and create reporting and visualizations from scratch.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Must qualify as a Protected Individual because the position requires access to confidential supervisory information.
