About The Position
The Lead Business Analyst will help define product strategy deliverables, design strategic end-to-end solutions, lead project requirements through the software development lifecycle, and assist with implementing enhancements to meet Investment Accounting platform objectives. The role works with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, and Client teams to bring product enhancements and services to a client-ready state. The position supports strategic product development for State Street Alpha Services’ Investment Accounting platform. It requires deep product and service domain knowledge in Investment Accounting and IBOR platforms, strong requirements definition and solution design capabilities, and experience managing delivery through the development lifecycle. The role also contributes to the product roadmap through client requests, partner feedback, and market trend analysis, and assists with adopting AI processes to improve product management and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or information systems.
- At least 15 years of financial services experience, including practical application in product management and development.
- Demonstrated product management, business analysis, or relevant operations experience as part of product development initiatives.
- Investment Accounting subject matter expertise in one or more of accounting, security valuation, cash management, or corporate actions/income.
- Comfort presenting to and interacting with key stakeholders, including clients.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organizations and stakeholders to reach common goals.
- Organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep domain expertise, strong business analysis and analytical/problem-solving skills, and business/industry knowledge.
- Practical experience with Agile/SDLC development.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership, an ownership mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead requirements definition and solution design for strategic product development initiatives within the Investment Accounting platform.
- Ensure requirements and design solutions are thoroughly considered at both component and end-to-end levels and are effectively documented.
- Gain consensus on end-to-end solution design and requirements with stakeholders across Product, IT, Operations, and Client teams.
- Drive delivery of product enhancements throughout the development lifecycle to meet timeline and cost commitments.
- Identify impediments and issues, and provide practical, high-impact options for resolving them.
- Use client requests, partner feedback, and market trend analysis to contribute to the strategic product roadmap.
- Assist with adoption of AI processes to improve product management functions and delivery.
