About The Position
State Street Alpha Services is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to help define product strategy deliverables and design strategic end-to-end solutions for the Investment Accounting platform. The role leads project requirements through the software development lifecycle and supports implementation of product enhancements and services until they are ready for clients. It works with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, and Client teams to advance the platform’s strategic objectives. The role calls for deep product and service domain knowledge in Investment Accounting and IBOR platforms, along with strong requirements definition, solution design, and project delivery experience. The successful candidate will contribute to product roadmap planning, drive delivery of enhancements, and support adoption of AI processes to improve product management functions and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or information systems.
- At least 15 years of financial services experience, including practical application in product management and development.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, business analysis, or relevant operations as part of product development initiatives.
- Investment Accounting subject matter expertise in one or more of accounting, security valuation, cash management, or corporate actions/income.
- Comfort presenting to and interacting with key stakeholders, including clients.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organizations and stakeholders to reach common goals.
- Organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep domain expertise, strong business analysis and analytical/problem-solving skills, business and industry knowledge, and practical Agile/SDLC development experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead requirement definition and solution design for strategic product development initiatives within the Investment Accounting platform.
- Ensure requirements and design solutions are well considered at both component and end-to-end levels and are effectively documented.
- Build consensus on end-to-end solution designs and requirements with stakeholders across Product, IT, Operations, and Client teams.
- Drive delivery of product enhancements throughout the development lifecycle to meet timeline and cost commitments.
- Use business judgment to surface impediments and issues and provide practical, high-impact options to resolve them.
- Use client requests, partner feedback, and market trend analysis to contribute to the strategic product roadmap.
- Assist with adoption of AI processes to improve product management functions and delivery.
