Assists the Clinical Engineering Manager in planning, developing, and implementing the medical equipment management program using an equipment life cycle approach. This role coordinates the planned and corrective maintenance of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment used throughout the hospital, ensuring continuous improvement in quality, operational cost-effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and resource utilization. The Lead Biomedical Equipment Technician supports and fosters team building within the local and corporate clinical engineering team. As needed, this position provides Planned Maintenance (PM) safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, and routine and emergency service for general and specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and support medical equipment, such as anesthesia machines, sterilizers, ventilators, ultrasound, and laboratory equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.
