About The Position

We are in search of a knowledgeable and engaging professional Lead Bartender, responsible for leading bartenders in daily duties to ensure professional, competent, and prompt service to customers, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences, while showcasing extensive wine, spirits and beer knowledge, according to the standards of Bow & Bend.

Requirements

  • A seasoned professional with previous experience leading as a bartender in a large, upscale Restaurant operation in a downtown city center.
  • An outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in wine, beverages and bartending practices.
  • Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of service professionals.
  • Valid ProServe certification.
  • Open availability, able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 20 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently provide the highest quality of service to our customers and staff alike, leading by example.
  • Ensure opening and closing duties are completed.
  • Train, maintain and enforce all service standards.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and customers. Reports unsafe conditions to manager.
  • Understand and teach empowerment principles to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare drink orders from customers/servers in proper calling order.
  • Make cocktails in accordance with the 5-Star Standards - solid cubes of ice, thoughtful and elegant garnishes, fresh juices and all in appropriate glassware.
  • Follow all check handling procedures, including all credit card policies and procedures.
  • Prepare beverage requisition for liquor.
  • Create a pleasant, friendly, hospitable, effective and professional working atmosphere at all times- this involves being genuine in all interactions.
  • Comply with established procedures in standard ProServe beverage practices regarding the serving of alcohol and the identification of minors.
  • Check and replace glassware where needed.
  • Stock and replenish ice at all ice stations.
  • Clean floors in area of responsibility at the end of each shift.
  • Stock and replenish all alcohol, wine and beer to all of the par levels established.
  • Provide supervisory support in the absence of a supervisor.
