About The Position
Isla Bella Beach Resort is seeking an experienced and service-driven Lead Bartender to support daily bar operations and help lead our Food & Beverage team. This role combines elevated guest service with hands-on operational leadership, assisting with bar oversight, team support, and maintaining exceptional service standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced luxury resort environment, and leads by example while creating memorable guest experiences.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience required
- Luxury resort or high-volume hospitality experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage preparation techniques
- Excellent communication, guest service, and team leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must meet state minimum age requirements to serve alcohol
- TIPS certification or equivalent preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, personalized service to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks
- Support daily bar operations to ensure efficient service and smooth workflow
- Lead by example during service and assist bartenders and support staff as needed
- Assist with training and coaching team members on service standards, beverage preparation, and guest engagement
- Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively resolve service concerns
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain extensive knowledge of beverage menus, ingredients, garnishes, and preparation methods
- Ensure all bar areas remain clean, organized, fully stocked, and compliant with sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory organization, supply ordering, and minimizing product waste
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all company and state regulations
- Assist leadership with opening/closing procedures and operational support as needed
