About The Position

The Lead Bartender at The Forge Kitchen & Parlor is responsible for ensuring compliance with daily operational procedures within the Food and Beverage Department, maintaining food and beverage safety and quality according to hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. This role also involves upholding operational standards and safe working conditions, responding to guest issues related to the department, and ensuring effective communication with management and staff. The Lead Bartender will also take orders, prepare and serve beverages and meals, and maintain the cleanliness and stock of the outlet and equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
  • Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
  • Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus.
  • Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications.
  • Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
