About The Position
As a Lead Barista at Starbucks at Marriott Orlando Downtown, you will be the go-to expert on all things coffee, ensuring every cup served meets our high-quality standards. You will inspire and support your fellow baristas through your passion and knowledge, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role focuses on leading by example with exceptional coffee craftsmanship rather than supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with a strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods
- Passion for coffee and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with others
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages consistently and efficiently
- Demonstrate expertise in coffee brewing techniques and educate team members on best practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting coffee station
- Assist with training new baristas on proper machine operation and drink preparation
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and report any issues promptly
- Engage graciously with guests to provide an excellent coffee experience
- Support the team by fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
