About The Position

The Lead Back of House supports kitchen operations and works alongside the Chef to promote teamwork, maintain food quality and safety, and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role is year-round for 10 months, with full-time hours available. The expected pay range is $22.00 to $29.22 per hour. Housing is available. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• One to two years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, practices, and food safety.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well and communicate with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Must communicate fluently in English.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary degree or certification.
• Supervisory kitchen experience.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Understand the use and operation of kitchen equipment, tools, and accessories, and train other kitchen staff in their use.
• Adhere to and enforce applicable standards for facility and food preparation, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items and their ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain par levels to meet demand and minimize waste.
• Maintain ingredient inventory using a first-in, first-out method and monitor food waste for reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
