About The Position

MCS is hiring for a LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I, in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. The LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • 4 years of Low Voltage or Control Systems experience preferred.
  • 4 years of experience installing AV/VTC equipment.
  • Ability to terminate cabling.
  • Ability to gain access to DOD/Government facilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers including government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10/30, CTS, Creston, AMX, or Extron certifications desired
  • CTS-I is Highly Desired
  • A current passport is required for Overseas travel.

Responsibilities

  • Terminating, Testing, Soldering, and Dressing all Low Voltage Cabling.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Using Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts.
  • Traveling to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area.
  • Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
  • Installing and setting up media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras.
  • Complete electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction
  • Setting up additional AV tools like equipment racks.
