About The Position

This is a 3-12 month contract assignment with the potential to become a full-time, permanent position for the right individual. The role involves supporting a growing project backlog for a premier Custom Integration Technology Company based in Oklahoma City, OK. This company designs and installs smart technology systems that enhance daily life. As a Lead AV Technician, you will play a hands-on role installing and programming luxury residential AV and automation systems. This position is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable leading installations in the field and programming Control4 systems independently. You'll oversee project execution, mentor other technicians when needed, and ensure every installation meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience installing residential or commercial AV systems
  • Extensive Control4 experience is required
  • Must be able to independently program and commission Control4 systems—this is a non-negotiable requirement
  • Must be comfortable performing both installation and programming duties
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand AV system design
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel for project assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lutron, ELAN, and Crestron is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in the installation of high-end residential AV and automation systems
  • Program, configure, and commission Control4 systems independently
  • Install TVs, speakers, racks, control systems, networking equipment, shades, and related technology
  • Terminate, label, and test audio, video, network, and control cabling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system documentation
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
  • Troubleshoot installation and programming issues in the field
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and fellow technicians
  • Maintain organized job sites and uphold professional installation standards
