About The Position

The Lead AV Programmer & Tech works independently and with other installers to complete residential AV system installations and service calls in Austin, Texas, and surrounding areas. The role includes completing assigned daily procedures and paperwork, maintaining an assigned vehicle, and delivering reliable systems customized to clients’ needs. The company pre-builds racks, pre-programs automation and Wi-Fi systems, and tests functions before equipment is installed at customers’ homes. This position requires residential AV experience; venue AV technicians are not a fit. Candidates must be based in or relocate to Austin.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience installing or servicing residential control systems or electronic systems.
Intermediate-to-expert Control4 programming experience.
Required certifications in Control4, Lutron RA-2, Lutron RA-3, and Lutron HomeWorks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Self-motivated, task-driven, highly detailed, organized, and able to multitask.
Ability to apply best-practices theory.
Must own basic hand and power tools; some tools and testers are provided.
Must be based in or relocate to Austin, Texas.
Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, reach, and lift up to 80 pounds.
