Requirements

  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • 7+ years of automotive service and repair experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
  • Advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting skills, and repair capabilities.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and repair management systems.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service information.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • ASE Certifications: A1-9, (L1 in emission states) when required by leadership.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support technicians in diagnosing vehicle mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
  • Provide guidance on complex repairs, troubleshooting procedures, and diagnostic strategies.
  • Assist technicians with difficult repair situations and technical problem solving.
  • Serve as the shop's subject matter expert on vehicle repair procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure repairs meet company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Repair and maintain gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles as assigned.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of repairs.
  • Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, electrical, and driveline repairs.
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation.
  • Assist the Shop Manager in prioritizing daily workloads and assigning tasks.
  • Monitor shop productivity and communicate repair status updates.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and shop facilities.
  • Support inventory control and parts management activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs.
  • Verify workmanship meets company and customer requirements.
  • Identify trends in repair comebacks and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Mentor and train apprentice and entry-level technicians.
  • Support technical development programs and skills assessments.
  • Share knowledge of emerging automotive technologies and repair methods.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new technicians.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, company, and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Follow all high-voltage safety procedures when working with hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the shop.
