What You'll Do: Technical Leadership Lead and support technicians in diagnosing vehicle mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns. Provide guidance on complex repairs, troubleshooting procedures, and diagnostic strategies. Assist technicians with difficult repair situations and technical problem solving. Serve as the shop's subject matter expert on vehicle repair procedures and best practices. Ensure repairs meet company quality standards and manufacturer specifications. Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair Perform advanced diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Repair and maintain gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles as assigned. Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of repairs. Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, electrical, and driveline repairs. Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation. Shop Operations Assist the Shop Manager in prioritizing daily workloads and assigning tasks. Monitor shop productivity and communicate repair status updates. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and shop facilities. Support inventory control and parts management activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Quality Assurance Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs. Verify workmanship meets company and customer requirements. Identify trends in repair comebacks and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures. Training and Development Mentor and train apprentice and entry-level technicians. Support technical development programs and skills assessments. Share knowledge of emerging automotive technologies and repair methods. Assist with onboarding and orientation of new technicians. Safety and Compliance Adhere to all OSHA, company, and environmental regulations. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Follow all high-voltage safety procedures when working with hybrid and electric vehicles. Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the shop.
