As our Lead Audio Visual Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering flawless execution behind the scenes, ensuring every presentation, meeting, and event runs without a hitch. Requirements

  • Previous audio-visual experience in a hotel, conference center, or similar hospitality environment strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of AV systems, including sound, video, lighting, and conferencing platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead by example and support a collaborative team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
  • 3 years of Audio-Visual experience preferred.
  • Firm knowledge of presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote application.
  • Firm knowledge of Video Conference applications such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Audio Visual installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Developed English skills both written and orally.

  • Related degree, training or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio-visual equipment for meetings, conferences, and special events
  • Operate and support microphones, sound systems, projectors, video conferencing platforms, and lighting systems
  • Partner closely with Event Managers, Conference Services, and clients to understand event needs and deliver customized AV solutions
  • Conduct pre-event testing to ensure all equipment is fully operational and event-ready
  • Provide real-time, on-site technical support - troubleshooting quickly and confidently when it matters most
  • Maintain and manage AV equipment inventory, ensuring all assets are in excellent working condition
  • Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance as needed
  • Stay current on emerging AV technologies and proactively recommend enhancements to elevate the guest experience
  • Train and mentor team members on AV systems and best practices
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of AV standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and operational protocols
  • Deliver exceptional, responsive service to clients and guests—every interaction matters
