This position is responsible for processing all release of information (ROI) , specifically medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service. Associates must at all times safeguard and protect the patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy and HIPAA regulations. This position travels 75% or more of their time. This is an intermediate level position with at least 1 year related HIM experience. Position Highlights This is a Hybrid Role Full Time: Hours of operation vary from earliest 7am - 4:30pm latest This role requires extensive travel (75% or more) throughout the Health System’s main campus and regional hospitals that could include the following areas: Green Hills Nashville, TN area; Lebanon, TN; Tullahoma, TN; Clarksville,TN to provide Release of Information (ROI) coverage and operational support as needed. Responsible for processing and disclosing medical records while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. The role involves approximately 90% electronic retrieval, scanning, and copying of medical records, ensuring all documents are accurate, secure, and confidential. 10% leadership responsibilities, such as leading daily team huddles, training new staff, and providing shadowing support to promote efficient workflow and high-quality service. Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors. Proficient in Microsoft office (including Word and Excel)
