About The Position

This role involves overseeing the analysis, programming, and configuration of Information Technology Systems Software. The Lead Engineer will provide thought leadership, architectural expertise, and design high-quality interfaces for innovative Angular applications. The position requires leading the architectural design and development of Angular applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate business needs into efficient solutions is key. The role also includes providing technical guidance, researching business problems, proposing software solutions, and mentoring junior programmers. Responsibilities extend to creating functional and detailed design specifications, converting system designs into program code, championing modern web standards and best practices, debugging and troubleshooting existing code, providing Level-2 support, and overseeing software releases to production. The Lead Engineer will act as a high-level technical expert in the development lifecycle and work with technical staff to resolve software issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or foreign equivalent).
4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Lead Engineer, Application Development (Java)-related occupation.
Demonstrable experience architecting and developing large scale, distributed, and web-based applications using Python FastAPI, Angular, and React.js, deployed across multiple geographic regions using Google Cloud Infrastructure.
Design component-based, object-oriented systems leveraging internet technologies, client/server architectures, relational databases, structured development practices, test methodologies, and data warehousing principles.
Build flexible, component-driven UI libraries and modern web interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 20.x, and React.js.
Develop secure, production-ready APIs using Java 12+, Python FastAPI, and Spring Framework (Boot) with minimal configuration friction.
Leverage UNIX shell command knowledge to interact with Git repositories, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines, and manage containers using Docker.
Install and manage system packages using yum, apt, and brew, and prepare runtime environments for application deployment.
Hands-on experience with PL/SQL to design, optimize, and automate data workflows supporting enterprise-scale, cloud-hosted applications.
Strong knowledge of GCP CI/CD to design, build, automate, and operate end-to-end cloud-native delivery pipelines.
Experience with Jira and Agile methodologies to effectively plan, track, and deliver high-quality, iterative software solutions.

Convert system designs and technical specifications into program code for complex applications.
Champion the use of light-weight architectures, modern web standards, and best practices to optimize application performance and reduce load times.
Debug and troubleshoot existing program codes and correct errors as required.
Provide Level-2 support to resolve systems-related issues.
Oversee software releases to production in a controlled, methodical manner and verify systems are stable after patching.
Participate as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software for third-party customers.
Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and develop specifications to resolve them.
